Dear dancers, dance groups, amateurs or enthusiasts,

We invite you to participate in the 3rd Rijeka KPOP Dance Competition - a competition in Korean pop dance. The competition is open to all age groups and styles, from original choreographies to cover dance groups, regardless of whether it is a local or international dance group.

The goal of this competition is to promote Asian culture and dance as a universal language and art form that connects us regardless of cultural differences. We also look forward to exchanging experiences among dancers and opening the way to a new form of socializing at a fantasy convention.

The winner of the competition is announced by the audience, so don't forget to invite your friends and family to support you in the competition.

The competition itself will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, in the evening, at Rikon (Exportdrvo Rijeka).

The announcement of the winners and the awarding of trophies and prize packages will take place immediately after the dance performances. All competitors are requested to be present at Rikon during the awarding ceremony.

Registration and registration fee

• Registrations for the competition are made exclusively via the online registration form available on this website.
• Registrations are accepted until Wednesday, 20.9.2024. (23:59), so that the organizers can process the applications and prepare the technical needs of the competition.
• The competition fee is €10 per person, per category, and all competitors with this registration fee receive UNLIMITED WEEKEND entry to Rikon.
• A competitor can register in multiple categories, and pays a separate registration fee for each entry.
• The competitor's escort or family purchases a ticket to Rikon like other visitors, according to the specified price list. Tickets are not limited, they can be purchased online or on site.
• Each entry will be assigned a starting number.
• Registrations are processed in the order in which they are received and are limited by the amount of available performance time, so please register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

Competition categories

Competitors can participate in three categories of competition:

• solo (1 dancer), performance lasting 1:00 to 2:00 min.
• duo/trio (2 or 3 dancers) performance lasting 1:00 to 3:00 min.
• group (5-7 dancers) performance lasting 2:00 to 4:00 min.

Other registration details:

• It is mandatory to upload the music file for the dance act to the application form. The file must be as long as the allowed duration of the dance act according to the category.
• The allowed deviation from the given time limit is 15 seconds.
• The duration of the choreography itself is included in the time limit. Entering and exiting the stage is not included in the time limit and must be within 30 seconds.

Competition rules:

• All competitors must be physically present in Rijeka on Friday, September 26, 2025, in order to be able to do a dress rehearsal in the venue.
• All competitors will be informed in a timely manner via email and/or message, so please enter valid contact information.
• The competition organizers are not responsible for injuries or lost items at the competitions. Competitors compete at their own risk.
• Incendiary devices, fire and pyrotechnics, vulgar language, insulting other participants, intoxicants and other illegal substances are prohibited!
• The audience awards one prize in each category for the best performer.
• The organizers reserve the right to award multiple prizes, not award a prize in any category without explanation, or award a prize for something different than stated, depending on the circumstances, the quantity and quality of competitors and the available budget.

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify competitors in the event of:

Any inappropriate, unprofessional and unsportsmanlike behavior at the event will be punished by disqualification and removal of registered competitors from the competition.

Abuse of social networks or the audience voting system in a way that directly or indirectly violates the right of all competitors to equal competition conditions,

Insulting, violating privacy or harassing other competitors, convention visitors or the organizing team, volunteers and judging panel.

That the competitors are closely connected, i.e. in a conflict of interest, with persons on the competition judging panel.

The organizers have the right to subsequently withdraw the prize (publicly and by returning the gift package) if it turns out that the contestant violated these conditions, i.e., intentionally violated the values of the competition and the right of all contestants to fair and equal competition.

The competitor with the next highest score from the judging panel wins the prize in that case, if possible.
